About the artist
Born 1908 in Chanteloup, Seine-et-Marne. Died 2004 in Montjustin.
Studied art at an art academy and only after started to focus on photography.
With numerous documentations of travels around the world Cartier-Bresson quickly made a name for himself and was presented in magazines and exhibitions.
Known for artistic black and white photography the Frenchman became famous for his ‘perfect shots’.
