Although Jacrot occasionally meddled with photography in his youth, he says himself he only came to photography in 2006 after completing training as a photojournalist.

Initially accepting a job to photograph Paris in beautiful spring weather for a tourist brochure, Jacrot was instead inspired by that year’s horrendously rainy weather.
